HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS AT GREAT RIVER ARTS
Bellows Falls, Vt. – Great River Arts will be offering two holiday gift-making workshops on Saturday, December 8 th from 9 until noon for both youth and adults.
The first workshop is a holiday jewelry-making workshop. Appropriate for children ages 9 and older and adults, students will use beads and findings to explore jewelry design and production. Local artist and long-time Great River Arts’ faculty Janna Crafts will give guidance on the proper use of tools and jewelry aesthetics to enhance the experience. In our relaxed atmosphere, participants will have the opportunity to create artistic and one of a kind pieces suitable for gifts! The workshop cost is $20.
The second workshop is for holiday mavericks! Join local artists Jeanette Staley for an atypical holiday card-making workshop. Jeanette will lead the group in making personalized holiday cards for friends and family or maybe gift books, using assorted collaged papers and mixed media. Participants should bring photos, scrap papers, words, fabric/lace, or something more macabre! The group will use photocopying and transfers to redefine a holiday tradition. The workshop cost is $25.
The Great River Arts Institute is a nonprofit arts education organization offering classes in the visual and literary arts for both children and adults.
