Bellows Falls, Vt, August, 2006 -.Great River Arts Institute (GRAI), a non-profit arts agency, is hosting a tour of the works of noted dry stone waller Dan Snow. The five sites open to the public for this tour range from a contemplative Japanese inspired dry-garden to a practical barn foundation and steps to a whimsical stone sphere. The self-guided tour will take place (rain or shine) from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2006 in and around Dummerston, Vermont. Tickets are $15.
Snow has been hand building one-of-a-kind dry stone constructions for clients in New England since 1976. His works have been featured in numerous publications, including This Old House and Garden Design. In 2001 he authored In the Company of Stone, a book of his work with photographs by Peter Mauss.
