At Great River Arts, we beleive that observation, reflection and interpretation are the platforms of a life inclined towards creativity, imagination and appreciation. We work with regional artists and educators to develop exceptional creative projects.
Our programs offered for a nominal fee, though no child is turned away because of an inability to pay. It is our belief that the opportunity to be creative is a birthright, not a luxury.

Alliance for Young Artists & Writers
Great
River Arts is the Regional Affiliate of the Alliance of Young Artists and
Writers - a non-profit organization dedicated for 85 years to bringing
outstanding visual art and writing created by teenagers to a national audience. As the premier Affiliate
for the State of Vermont, it is our responsibility to encourage students and
teachers throughout the state, to participate in the Scholastic Art and
Writing Awards
and in doing so to take advantage of the recognition, affirmation and college
scholarship opportunities available to Vermont students who demonstrate
exceptional artistic and literary talent.
